This restaurant was beautiful, quiet and convenient. We loved the fish and the staff were wonderfully helpful. It was our favorite place to eat on the island of Ortigia - don&#39;t miss the desserts!

Excellent food  wonderful service and fabulous value for money.  Top class all around.

We ate there with the whole family and really enjoyed the evening. Very good food (including the best caponata we had in Ortigia), attentive, fast and caring service (the food for our little daughter was served at the same time as our starters so she didn&#39;t have to wait too long), good prices, really highly recommended.Thank you very much for a wonderful evening!

The fresh tuna was displayed  with encouragement to choose. Sadly it was over cooked, I like it pink. There is no wine list so it was &ldquo;you will have what you are given, red or white?&rdquo;Ambience is modern, a little clinical perhaps. Service was &ldquo;functional&rdquo;  and impersonal. We did not stay for a dessert.

Interesting food. Some dishes were very good &hellip;however, one was a miss. Desserts were good. We would definitely revisit . Overall a positive visit.

First time back since before pandemic.  Food was delicious! We had spaghetti carbonara di mare and linguini frutti di mare. They were both very tasty and you could tell that the seafood was fresh.  I will return again when I&#39;m back in Siracusa.  Highly recommended.

One of the best meals I&#39;ve ever had. Smoked tuna on mango was unbelievably tasty. Seafood pasta was super flavoursome with plenty of seafood. Great selection of sicilian wines. Excellent service ,with a lot of patience and helpful advices. Do not miss the opportunity to dine at Retroscena!

Excellent dinner for two! Delicious pasta: ravolini and paccheri with pesto, freshest swordfish in a red sauce, mixed salad. And to top it off, the best tiramisu! Nice ambiance with comfortable background jazz. Great welcoming and professional service. Highly recommend.
